What mentorship means at Inua Hub

It is one person staying with another long enough for something to shift. Not a lecture, and not a favour you do once and forget. Mentorship here is guidance, honesty, and a relationship that helps a young person see a way forward.

What mentors do

  • Career guidance

Help someone see the next honest step in their work, not a perfect five-year plan.

  • Portfolio reviews

Look at what they have made and tell them what is working, and what to try next.

  • Workshops

Share a skill with a small room of people who actually want to use it.

  • Group mentoring

Sit with a few young people at once, so the questions belong to everyone.

  • Entrepreneurship support

Walk with someone who is building something, especially when it is still fragile.

Who can join

Professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry experts who are willing to contribute what they have already lived. You do not need a famous title. You need experience you are ready to share.

Why join

  • Impact

A monthly conversation can change how someone sees their own future.

  • Networking

You meet other mentors, and the young people they are walking with.

  • Visibility

Your experience becomes part of a community, not just a line on a profile.

  • A way to contribute

There is a clear place to give time, not a vague invitation to care.

Frequently asked questions

Commitment

Once a month is the rhythm. You meet your mentee, you keep showing up, and little by little you build a relationship that is actually useful. You are also part of a wider community of mentors, so you are not figuring this out on your own.

Virtual participation

Yes. Most of this happens remotely, between you and your mentee. A call, a voice note, a look at their work. You do not need to be in the same city, or even the same country, to be present for someone.

Eligibility

Be passionate about community and about young people, and want to give something back through volunteering. You do not have to have made it in life to support someone else. If you have learned something the long way, and you are willing to talk about it honestly, that is enough to begin.
